About the program

Forest Scientists invites children to explore the natural world through curiosity, observation, and hands-on discovery. Children investigate plants, insects, habitats, weather, and natural patterns while learning how to ask questions, make observations, and think like young scientists.


Junior Trailblazers (ages 3-6): Discover the wonders of nature! Explore insects, plants, and animals through fun hands-on activities and exciting outdoor adventures.

Mighty Explorers (ages 7-12): Dive into forest ecosystems! Study insects, trees, and habitats through interactive challenges, field investigations, and museum explorations.

Daily Schedule

  • Campers dive into the fascinating world of forest insects, using magnifiers to examine anatomy, compare species, and understand how these tiny creatures contribute to a thriving ecosystem.

  • Campers investigate trees and plants through leaf classification, tree-ring analysis, and a study of plant adaptations, uncovering the story of the forest’s past and present.

  • Through hands-on design challenges, campers build model animal shelters and explore how habitat design meets the survival needs of wildlife in the forest.

  • Tracking animal signs, testing soil samples, and observing different biomes, campers piece together the complex relationships that sustain a forest ecosystem.

  • At the biodiversity museum, campers practice real-world ecological techniques, examine specimens, and reflect on conservation strategies that protect forest life.
