Why Families Choose Compass

  • Curiosity Driven

At Compass, children's questions lead the day. We follow their wonder into the forest, down to the tide line, up into the trees. We let curiosity shape what they discover, build, and create, while providing a safe, open environment for your child to flourish.

    Experienced staff

Every Compass team member is chosen for their warmth, passion and experience supporting children, along with a genuine love of the outdoors. With close 1:4 supervision, first aid certifications, and structured daily routines, every child is safely held throughout the day, seen, supported, and guided with care.

    Connection to Nature

Children grow up knowing the names of trees, the rhythm of the tides, and the feeling of moss under bare feet. Children are spending real time outdoors, experiencing nature first-hand and building a lifelong respect for the natural world and a deep sense of belonging in it.

    Build Community

Through small-group adventures, team challenges, and collaborative projects, children practise listening, helping, problem-solving, and celebrating each other’s ideas. We create a warm, supportive environment where every child feels included, capable, and connected, building the confidence and friendships that can last far beyond camp!

"My 4-year-old son has been attending since last September—it's been over 8 months now—and we absolutely love it. Each term and every week features a new theme, with creative, hands-on activities that keep him excited and engaged. He always comes home eager to tell me what he learned that day. What’s been especially impressive is how much his vocabulary has grown. He’s learning so much—just through play! It’s pressure-free and full of joy. Nature has truly become his classroom, and it’s incredible to watch him explore forests, streams, and muddy trails with such confidence. The teachers are warm, caring, and professional. You can really feel their passion for early childhood education. My son looks forward to every class—and as a parent, that means everything."
